Responsibilities
·Develop integrated marketing strategy for OEM groups focused on molecular diagnostics, immunodiagnostics and biotech supply.

·Collaborate with the worldwide OEM channel organization (field sales and application scientists) and licensing organization to build/deploy sales tools that enable the team to move potential customers efficiently through the purchase process.
·Work with the various product management teams to develop marketing strategies for new product initiatives.
·Manage the marketing budget and insure effective deployment of funds
Skills and Experience
·BS in a Life Sciences discipline (advanced degree in marketing and/or MBA preferred)
·Minimum 5-7 years experience working in a marketing role for a Life Sciences tools and/or In Vitro diagnostics company.
·Ability to collaborate with peers across the marketing organization, understanding where to take a lead role and where to support company marketing initiatives.
·Track record of success in program design, project planning and execution.

In this role, you will support a molecular diagnostics market focus as part of the OEM and Licensing team. Responsibilities

· Provide guidance on needs and requirements through close interaction with customers to insure that the internal teams have a clear understanding of success criteria.

· Provide consultation, training and expertise for the successful installation and start-up of new products at the customer site.
· Interact with the marketing team and businesses to identify trends and customer requirements as input for future roadmap planning activities.
Requirements
· Ph.D. preferred in molecular or cell biology with emphasis on genetics.
· Minimum 5-7 years of previous experience in R&amp;D, marketing applications or field applications with a Life Science tools or Diagnostics company.
· Ability to work independently, think creatively and maintain a calm demeanor in high pressure situations
· Strong communication skills and experience giving technical presentations.
· Collaborative mindset and the ability to work across businesses and functions to ensure successful project execution.
· Approximately 70% travel required.
Location for this position is flexible due to travel schedule. Prefer candidates to work out of our Austin (TX), Carlsbad (CA), Foster City (CA) offices.

* Work directly with the a Sales Representatives to support their initiatives and interact with customers


* Manage a budget


* Weekly summaries + participation in Facebook group to share activities with peers

Requirements:

Job requires energy, enthusiasm, and passion for sharing Life Technologies’s products on campus. A basic understanding of science and the know-how to spread the word by leveraging campus events is key to being successful.
